A key feature of what we offer is ensuring business continuity to our Customers.

For this reason all Vianova solutions exceeding five channels include the service Line Recovery that intervenes automatically in the event of failure on one or more lines.

Line Recovery

How it works

  1. the service is provided through a combination of two or more ADSL, HDSL, SHDSL, FTTx or Radio connections in failover or bonding mode
  2. in the event of a problem on a line, the devices automatically switch Voice and Data services to the other lines connected while at the same time sending a failure notice to Welcome Italia’s NOC (Network Operation Center)
  3. Customer Service will contact the Customer to collect information and within 15 minutes the NOC will take charge of the problem
  4. as soon as the problem is resolved, the equipment will automatically restore Voice and Data services on all available lines

Efficiency

3G Data Backup Option

This optional service allows you to take advantage of a backup data line over a 3G mobile network, to ensure automatic business continuity and the maintenance of your IP addresses even if the main line fails.

The option allows for the operation of web browsing services, email, IP POS, FaxWI, remote access, VPN, etc.

  • activation cost: 120,00 euro discounted to 80,00 euro if activated on signing the contract
  • monthly rate: 25,00 euro

Line Recovery Option for profile Vianova 1.5

The optional service can be activated with ADSL access and in areas covered by radio access up to 20 Mbps downstream and 1 Mbps upstream.

ADSL access:

  • activation cost: 120,00 euro discounted to 80,00 euro if activated on signing the contract
  • monthly amount with Voice and Data backup: 35,00 euro
  • monthly amount Data only backup: 25,00 euro (only available on the profile with SHDSL access)

Radio access:

  • activation cost: 280,00 euro discounted to 180,00 euro if activated on signing the contract
  • monthly amount Voice and Data backup: 70,00 euro

Restrictions

  • in the event of a line failure, telephone communications may be interrupted for a few seconds
  • in case of failure of other elements of the plant (conduits, other devices, etc.) the service may not work
  • in case of temporary unavailability of the telephone twisted pair lines at the Customer’s premises, the Line Recovery service may be activated after the Number PortabilityWI activation date, whereby the twisted pairs previously used by the former telephone lines are released
  • the Line Recovery service activated with BGP Protocol comes into operation after about 90 seconds from failure of the main line
  • in profile Vianova 1.5 the Line Recovery service is optional and the ADSL line or backup radio access is activated only in case of failure of the main line
  • in profile Vianova 1.5 with symmetric SHDSL access the Line Recovery service is performed with the provision of ADSL or radio access on the Cisco 1841 or higher router
  • in the profiles Vianova 30+ or those with access to FTTx technology, the backup line is activated only in case of failure of the main line
  • in the Vianova 1.1 profile the Line Recovery service is only available with the 3G Data Backup option
  • the 3G Data Backup service can only be activated in the presence of 3G coverage in the area of installation
  • the 3G Data Backup service supports only IP POS electronic payment
